Refund, cancellation and delivery issue policy

This policy explains how Northblomst handles cancellations, refunds, damaged flowers, delivery issues and made-to-order products. Because fresh flowers are perishable and often prepared specifically for each order, different rules may apply than for normal returnable goods.

Important note about fresh flowers

Northblomst sells fresh flowers, bouquets, funeral flowers, gift baskets and personalised flower gifts. Many products are prepared after order, selected according to season and availability, and arranged for a specific recipient, delivery address and delivery date.

1. Returns of fresh flowers and perishable products

Fresh flowers, bouquets, floral arrangements and other perishable products cannot normally be returned once they have been prepared, dispatched or delivered. This is because flowers are living, seasonal and perishable products with a limited freshness period.

If you believe there is a quality issue, please contact us as soon as possible after delivery with your order number, delivery date and clear photos of the flowers and packaging.

2. Made-to-order and personalised products

Many Northblomst products are made after order and prepared for a specific delivery date, recipient, address, occasion, colour preference, greeting card or special request. Once preparation has started, these products may not be eligible for cancellation, return or refund.

This includes, but is not limited to, bouquets, funeral flowers, sympathy flowers, wedding flowers, office flowers, flower subscriptions, customised gift baskets and products prepared according to customer notes.

3. Cancellations before preparation

You may contact us to request cancellation before the order has been prepared, purchased from suppliers, assigned to delivery or dispatched. If the order has not yet entered preparation, we will do our best to cancel it and issue a refund.

Cancellation is not guaranteed for same-day orders, urgent orders, funeral orders, event orders or orders close to the requested delivery date.

4. Damaged, incorrect or missing items

If your order arrives damaged, incorrect or missing an agreed item, please contact us as soon as possible. To review the case fairly, we may ask for:

  • Order number
  • Recipient name and delivery address
  • Delivery date
  • Clear photos of the flowers, gift, packaging and any damage
  • A short description of the issue

Depending on the situation, Northblomst may offer a replacement, partial refund, store credit, correction delivery or another fair solution.

5. Flowers may vary by season and availability

Product images on Northblomst are inspirational. Flower varieties, colours, size, packaging and exact expression may vary depending on season, country, local availability and florist interpretation.

We always aim to keep the same value, style and overall expression as shown or described. A natural seasonal variation is not considered a defect.

6. Delivery issues

If delivery cannot be completed because the address is incorrect, the recipient cannot be reached, access is not possible, the building is locked, or important delivery information is missing, the order may not be eligible for a full refund.

We may try to contact the customer or recipient, leave the delivery in a safe place where appropriate, reattempt delivery for an additional fee, or return the product if possible.

7. Funeral, wedding and event orders

Funeral, wedding and event flowers are time-sensitive and often prepared for a specific date, venue and ceremony time. Once planning, purchasing or preparation has started, cancellation and refund options may be limited.

Please contact us as early as possible if something changes.

8. Gift baskets and non-perishable add-ons

Non-perishable items may be reviewed separately from fresh flowers. However, products that are part of a prepared gift, personalised order, opened package, delivered gift basket or time-sensitive order may not be eligible for return.

If an add-on or gift item is damaged or incorrect, please contact us with photos and order details.

9. Refund processing

If a refund is approved, it will normally be processed back to the original payment method. Processing time may depend on the payment provider, bank or card issuer.

Shipping, delivery, service or urgent delivery fees may be non-refundable if the service has already been started or completed.
